DR. britt groom
pastor
Dr. Groom is an ordained Southern Baptist minister and California native. After leaving the business world behind, he entered his pastoral calling, leading churches in California, and later in North Carolina. He has twenty-four years of pastoral experience, a degree in Biblical Studies from Moody Bible Institute, a Master’s in Theological Studies from Liberty University, and a Doctorate in Theology (Th.D.) from Andersonville Theological Seminary.
Britt is married to Hannah, his partner in life and ministry (a hard-working, whip-smart, degreed teacher), and they have two children (super-good kids), Samuel (19) and Joelle (16), all residing in Silver Spring, Maryland.
Dr. Groom says he’s mechanically declined, sometimes forgetful, mostly punctual, a terrible golfer, and even worse cook: “I love music (play guitar a little… sing a little), I am a big promoter of personal evangelism and discipleship, and enjoy studying the Bible with others (anyone!). I am a board game enthusiast, willing counselor, good listener, empowering and partnering leader, and Bible-based preacher and teacher. My greatest attribute is my love for and faith in Jesus, and allowing the Holy Spirit to move and empower me despite my shortcomings. Belonging to a great church like Colesville Baptist helps too!”
