part-time youth ministry director
Colesville Baptist Church has a youth program that is Christ-focused and Bible centered. Fostering belonging and finding a place of service in the church family, along with equipping for ministry in the wider world are current youth ministry goals. Silver Spring is a diverse community, and our children and youth reflect this perfectly. There are a host of volunteers who have a heart for children and youth ministry that are eagerly anticipating a Youth Ministry Director to work with.
Responsibilities of Youth Director:
Direct volunteer staff. Plan youth/children’s events. Outreach.
Ensure Colesville Baptist children and youth are growing in their walk with Christ. To that end, Manage, develop, and maintain programs to meet the spiritual, emotional, and relational needs of our young people.
Participate in the life of Colesville Baptist Church.
We are looking for:
Above all other things, an authentic, Bible-believing Christian who loves the Lord and has a healthy “walk” with Him.
He/she must feel called to serve youth and children. If God is putting this on your heart, that is what we are looking for.
Able to affirm the doctrinal statement of Colesville Baptist Church (colesvillebaptist.org).
It would be especially nice (though not a requirement) if you play the piano/keyboard with enough (passable) ability to play one hymn a week during church service.
